January 2026 Smartphone Launches: Oppo, Realme, Xiaomi Ready for India

As the year end approaches, the smartphone producers are getting ready to unveil their new products early January, one after another. Numerous brands have already confirmed their events within the first week, which shows that the Indian market will start 2026 very aggressively. The device will have Oppo’s HoloFusion and a circular camera setup called the Dynamic Stellar Ring among its design features. It is expected to come in colors such as Glacier White, Cocoa Brown, Aurora Blue, and Sunset Gold. There is a rumor that January 8 may be the day of the phone's launch, although Oppo hasn't verified this.
Oppo Reno 15 Pro 5G
The Reno 15 Pro 5G is the successor to the basic version and its price will probably be around ₹63,000 when launched. It is supposed to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness claimed at 3,600 nits. The panel will support 10-bit color depth and will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Reportedly, the phone will have a screen-to-body ratio of more than 95 percent, a thin body of around 7.65mm, and a weight of almost 205 grams. It is possible that Oppo will release this version in two colors, Sunset Gold, and Cocoa Brown. Along with the Reno 15 5G, the company has not revealed any official launch schedule for Oppo.
Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini 5G
Under the Reno 15 series, the company Oppo is expected to unveil a tiny version too. The Reno 15 Pro Mini 5G, which is anticipated to be priced under ₹40,000, will be targeting the audience that does not mind a smaller screen and still wants to have the same top-notch specifications, though core ones will not be sacrificed.
The phone is predicted to have a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a maximum brightness of 3,600 nits. The display might be protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The weight of the device could be around 187 grams and its thickness could be just under 8mm. The colors might include Cocoa Brown and Glacier White.
Realme 16 Pro 5G
Realme has made it official that the Realme 16 Pro 5G will be launched in India on January 6, at 12 noon IST, and the event has been scheduled accordingly. The mobile runs on a MediaTek processor and is very much camera-centric.
Zoom and portrait photography are the two major applications for the 200MP sensor, which is quite obviously the main camera in the square camera module with three lenses. The phone will come pre-installed with Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0. Realme has promised to give this device three Android version updates and four years of security patches.
AI Edit Genie 2.0 and metal body finish are some of the other noteworthy features. The colors confirmed so far are Master Gold, Orchid Purple, and Pebble Grey.
Realme 16 Pro+ 5G
With the Pro variant, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G also comes out with a Snapdragon processor and a 200-megapixel periscope camera. The overall design language has still been very much like that of the Pro model, plus the same software platform and update policy have been kept.
The Pro+ variant inherits Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 and AI Edit Genie 2.0 tools along with it. It is to be launched in colours Master Gold, Camellia Pink and Master Grey. Redmi Note 15 5G
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is about to launch the Redmi Note 15 5G on January 6, with the launch ceremony taking place in Delhi at 11:30 AM IST. The phone is endorsed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor highly.
In the display department, it sports a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and boasts peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits. The panel is also TUV triple eye care certified. For photography, the smart device has a 108-megapixel sensor that incorporates optical image stabilization and allows for 4K video recording.
The battery capacity is 5,520mAh, which is coupled with 45W rapid charging. The phone has a slim 7.35mm metal body and has got an IP66 rating for its resistance against dust and water.
Apart from smartphones, Realme has also indicated January to be the month of new product launches. The corporation is going to reveal the Realme Buds Air 8 earphones and the Realme Pad 3 tablet. Xiaomi is also enlarging its tablet assortment with the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, which is set to be released in India on January 6.
